Archaeological Museum

In the superior part of the Alcazaba is the Archaeological Museum, that keeps a valuable collection that includes from Prehistory to the Muslim times. The Prehistory room keeps a great number of Palaeolithic and Neolithic pieces ,as well that the iron and bronze ages, most of which come from the caves of La Pileta and La Victoria. The Roman sculptures and mosaics and the Arab golden ceramics are also outstanding. In a walk by the gardens of the old palace-fortress, it’s possible to see scattered tablets and sarcophagus rests.
