Fine Arts Museum
As a complement to the modernity represented by the Guggenheim,
the museum is formed by four main sections: antique, contemporary,
Basque and small collections of applied art. The permanent
collection continues being the angular stone of the Bilbao
Museum: at the moment, the visitor can find an iron sculpture
of Julio González surrounded by Zurbaranes or the
Ribera’ San Sebastián mixed with Oteiza’
irons, Tapies, Bacon or works of Chillida surrounded by
goldware of Durrio.
